ABOUT US 

Fredy Fernando Pérez Esteban comes from Guatemala (Central America). Even as a young boy, he

liked to watch his mother and grandmother prepare dishes for their large family, especially handmade

corn tortillas baked on fire. The "Comal" (a pan made of cast iron or clay) is heated on burning wood,

which gives tortillas an authentic, smoky taste that is incomparable.

Although Fredy trained as a car mechanic, his passion for cooking and the desire for everyone close to

him to have a full stomach has always dominated. Therefore, in his youth, he decided to immigrate to

the USA, where over the course of 15 years had gained experience, mostly in the capital city of Santa

Fe, New Mexico, in international gastronomy.

It was here that he met his wife Monika, originally from Břeclav. Fate then brought them to the Czech

Republic together with their 7-year-old daughter, where they have been serving Latin American dishes

(spicy/not spicy) since May 2018. Their goal was to introduce new flavors to the locals, which they

couldn´t find in Břeclav. Thanks to their many years of experience abroad, constant hard work and love

for this cuisine, they succeeded. Originally, they opened a stall by the park that´s close to the train

station in Břeclav and after two years, to their surprise, the customer demand exceeded, so the space of

the former stall was after a while insufficient. Therefore they decided to move their business to a near

building with both an indoor and outdoor seating area. Now, with the help of his family, they start

preparing food in the early mornings, which are then plated to the customer order and finished off with

fresh salsas. In their new location they also extended their menu offering by more extensive variety of

fresh tropical, non-alcoholic, but also traditional alcoholic beverages.

Their kitchen represents mostly the region of Central America (Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, etc.)

with a hint of border states in the USA, where a large part of the "Latinos" reside.
